Cheap and certified are not opposites. Here is what makes the difference.
Every bike and scooter we sell carries UL certification on its electrical system. That is the standard that separates real product liability from a Reddit horror story.
Gray-market imports skip this. We do not.
Not fine print. Not "contact the manufacturer in Shenzhen." You contact us, and we handle it.
Parts, labor, and a straight answer within one business day.
A lot of e-bike brands exist as a domain name and a return address that bounces. We are not that. You have a question before you buy, we talk.
Same team after you buy. Email: open-throttle@sogoodmail.com.

Every unit ships with documentation you can verify. The certification is not a sticker we printed. It is a third-party audit of the electrical system that confirms it will not start a fire.
Six questions every sensible buyer asks. We wrote them ourselves so you did not have to dig for them.
Class 2 e-bikes are street-legal in all 50 states and most municipalities — the same rules that cover bicycles apply. Top motor-assisted speed is capped at 20 mph, so no license or registration is required.
Our electrical systems are UL 2849 certified, which means an independent lab tested the battery, charger, and wiring together — not just the cells in isolation. That certification is the specific standard that separates accountable brands from the gray-market pile.
One year from purchase, parts and labor covered. You contact us directly at open-throttle@sogoodmail.com, describe the issue, and we sort it. No third-party repair shop runaround. The Protection Plan extends that coverage for up to two years.
Contact us within 30 days of delivery if the bike is not right for you. We handle the logistics; you are not stuck paying return freight on something we built wrong. Exact terms are in the order confirmation.
Class 2 means the motor provides both throttle-assist and pedal-assist up to 20 mph, then cuts out. You can ride without pedaling, which is the feature most commuters actually use. Class 1 is pedal-only assist; Class 3 goes to 28 mph and has more local restrictions.
In-stock orders ship within 2 business days from our warehouse. Delivery typically takes 5 to 8 business days depending on your location. You get a tracking number the day your order leaves.
Still have a question? We answer email, not a bot.
